Police investigating car fire in Pierrefonds

Montreal police are investigating a car fire early Sunday morning in Pierrefonds.

A 911 call was received concerning a vehicle on fire around 3:30 am, according to police spokesperson Véronique Comtois.

The blaze, which was in a private parking structure, was put out by firefighters.

Three vehicles were heavily damaged, Comtois said, and the parking structure was also damaged.

The cause of the firefighter remains unknown, but firefighters found it suspicious and the investigation was transferred to the police department’s arson squad.
