Former Montreal Canadien and hospital ambassador PK Subban will match donations up to $100,000, the hospital says.

The children are “fleeing for their lives while fighting for their lives,” the hospital says on their site, where you can make a donation. Their “crucial treatment” has been interrupted by Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine, which has seen more than 3 million Ukrainians forced to leave their country so far.

“These children and their families will arrive in Montreal with nothing but the clothes on their backs,” the hospital says.

“The Children’s needs your help to support these traumatized families so that they can focus on what is most important: helping their child get well.

“Your donation will help to pay for accommodation, travel to and from the hospital, meals, medication, psychological support and translation services.”
