Peterborough Public Health is hosting a series of flu vaccination clinics exclusively for families with children under the age of two who do not have a health care provider and cannot access the flu vaccine. Pharmacies do not vaccinate children under two years of age.
Flu Vaccines Now Available to High-Risk Ontario Residents Ahead of Wider Rollout in November
All clinics will be held at Peterborough Public Health at 185 King St. in downtown Peterborough. Appointments can be booked by calling 705-743-1000, ext. 507. The reservation will open approximately three weeks before the date of each clinic:
- Thursday, November 18 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Thursday, December 16 from 4 to 7 p.m.
- Thursday, January 13, 2022, from 4 to 7 p.m.
“While the flu vaccine is widely available to most residents through pharmacies and your health care provider, we recognize that this is not the case for everyone and we are pleased to offer these dedicated clinics for flu vaccines. flu are as accessible as possible, ”said Patti. Fitzgerald, director of the health unit’s infectious disease program.
“Getting the flu shot is the best way to keep you and your loved ones from feeling sick. Flu season can be unpredictable and it is still important for people to feel well outside of hospitals. “

All Millbrook residents can attend a clinic by appointment scheduled for Monday, November 15 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the community room of the Cavan Monaghan Community Center at 989 County Road 10.
Appointments are required due to COVD-19 precautions and must be reserved in advance by calling 705-743-1000 ext. 507. No walk-in options will be available.
