Peterborough Man Faces Aggravated Assault Charges Following Park Street Residence – Peterborough Incident | The Canadian News

A Peterborough, Ontario man faces an aggravated assault charge after an incident Monday night.

According to the Peterborough Police Service, around 6:15 pm, officers responded to an altercation between two men at a residence on Park Street South. The author reported that one of the people might still be in the house.

When the officers arrived, they were informed that a verbal argument had escalated, leading to one of the men hitting the other on the head and trampling him several times.

The victim was transported to Peterborough Regional Health Center with undisclosed injuries.

Officers searched the home and located a man in a room.

Zacharia Warren, 28, of Peterborough was arrested and charged with aggravated battery.

He was taken into custody and was scheduled to appear in court in Peterborough on Tuesday.
