A pedestrian suffered possibly life-changing injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Brampton Monday night, Peel Regional Police said.

Emergency crews were called to the scene in the McLaughlin Road and Bovaird Drive area at 7:30 p.m.

Police said on Twitter that the victim was taken to a trauma center.

Peel’s paramedics confirmed to Global News that a man in his 50s was taken to a Toronto trauma center with serious injuries.

The intersection is closed while officers investigate.
