Police are investigating after a gunshot damaged a patio door at an apartment building in LaSalle on Saturday morning.

A 911 call at 7:45 am about a fight between three men led police officers to discover the damaged glass on the door at an apartment on Shevchenko Blvd. near Jean-Chevalier St.

The three men were gone by the time the police arrived, and no injuries have been reported, the police said. The officers noticed the damaged door and determined the damage was caused by a bullet, the police said. However, no shell casings were found, it was added.

The area was cordoned off and the canine unit was called in to search for clues, the police said. It added that no calls were made to 911 to report gunshots.
