The ski season is not over yet and some would say it is the best time to visit our mountain resorts. And long-range forecasts call for below-normal temperatures in BC, including heavy snow in alpine regions, through April.

Whether it’s to take advantage of the warmer weather or to end the season in style, many of the resorts will be hosting festivals in the coming weeks:
Whistler’s Black Comb
He Whistler World Ski and Snowboard Festival It takes place from April 10 to 16. The festival includes ski and snowboard competitions, including the Saudan Couloir Race Extreme, the steepest ski and snowboard race in the world; and slush cup, a costumed race through snow and a muddy ice pond. Combined with music, art, photography, film and exciting nightlife, plus some of the best skiing and après sessions of the season, the festival is not to be missed.

SilverStar Mountain Resort
The Seismic Festival returns SilverStar Mountain ResortMarch 25-26 and April 1-2 with live music, family-friendly activities, skiing and snowboarding, and opportunities to see the BC Winter Games. As the host of alpine skiing, freestyle and snowboarding events, SilverStar will welcome more than 200 of the 1,800 athletes from March 23-26.
Explore Canada’s largest daily groomed cross-country ski network at the Sovereign2 SilverStar Ski Marathon, April 1-2. Taking place over 105 kilometers of Nordic trails, the event allows competitors of all levels to rub shoulders with some of the world’s best athletes in a fun race.
