Party Leaders Push For Votes As Election Campaign Moves Into Final Weekend | The Canadian News

With just three days left until federal elections, the party’s top leaders will keep the campaign throttle wide open on Friday as they chase still-undecided votes in Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia.

Liberal leader Justin Trudeau will start his day with a scheduled announcement Friday morning in Windsor, Ontario.

Conservative leader Erin O’Toole is also in southwestern Ontario. He will make an announcement in London, Ontario, early Friday afternoon before moving to St. Catharines, Ontario, for an evening fan event.

NDP leader Jagmeet Singh has a packed schedule starting in the morning in Sherbrooke, Que., Where he will speak about the Trudeau administration’s track record on climate change. Singh will then head east to Sackville, NS to visit a local business in the afternoon before moving to Halifax to meet with his followers.

Much of Thursday’s campaign was dominated by leaders pointing fingers and blaming each other for Alberta’s growing COVID-19 crisis.

As the clock ticks to Monday’s election, the latest polls suggest that the race between Liberals and Conservatives is still too close to be called.

It remains to be seen whether the high-level endorsements Justin Trudeau and Erin O’Toole received this week _ Trudeau from former US President Barack Obama and O’Toole from former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney _ will help tip the balance.
