PAN agrees with federal government dialogue for security and reforms

In a private meeting, the national leadership of the National Action Party (PAN) and the Ministry of the Interior agreed on the installation, as of next January 10, of seven roundtables on security, health, electoral and economic matters, among others.

Marko Cortés Mendoza, PAN national president, affirmed that at the meeting, Adán Augusto López Hernández, Secretary of the Interior, informed that he will also try to establish a dialogue with the rest of the political parties that oppose the government.

“We will seek that these tables, the desirable thing is that these seven tables that I have reported here, have a plural participation where, of course, we are the parties of the legislative coalition Going for Mexico and we seek to build, we seek to coincide and thus achieve good terms of any type of negotiation, “he explained at a press conference.

The tables to be installed will address the issues of tolerance, democratic plurality and the rule of law; economy; security; electrical reform; Health & Wellness; electoral reform and environment and sustainable development.

Regarding the pending reform in electrical matters, he said that the position of the PAN is “to seek that people pay less in their energy bill, that Mexico move towards clean and renewable energies, and that investment is generated and, therefore Therefore, I work for Mexicans. With the openness to dialogue with those parameters in the dialogue ”.

But he warned: “we are not going to waver in our principles or in our proposals.”

Regarding the electoral reform, he assured that he made it clear to López Hernández that his party intends to strengthen the National Electoral Institute (INE) and the Electoral Tribunal of the Federal Judicial Power (TEPJF).
