Ottawa Homicide Investigators Call For Public Help In Finding “Vehicle Of Interest” In Teen Gunshot Death – Ottawa | The Canadian News

Ottawa police are searching for an discovered truck in the Woodroffe and Baseline area around the time a teenager was killed earlier this week.

PAHO’s homicide unit is looking for clues about a blue Ford F-150 truck dubbed a “vehicle of interest” in the Monday shooting death of 16-year-old John Ndayishimiye on Elmira Drive.

Police said earlier this week they believe the shooting in which another 16-year-old boy was injured but not killed was “targeted.”

Investigators hope to speak to anyone who has seen a truck matching the photos in the Cobden Road, Iris Street, Baseline Road and Woodroffe Avenue areas between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. on Dec. 6.

Anyone in those areas at the time, or anyone with a dash cam or neighborhood surveillance footage, should call the police at 613-236-1222 ext. 5493. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
