Those who have attended the corporate events that I have had the honor of facilitating know very well that from the first moment I wage war on the faces of mental constipation. In my philosophy of life, they have no place.

Socially, leisure time usually carries a negative connotation, that everyone who has fun is immature, because every adult must behave as someone serious and responsible. That is, we confuse these two terms with living bitter.

I ask you: would you be in a position to leave a space for games in your work life? Nonsense and fun are often badly labeled as “immaturity”, when it is proven that these leisure times, where you do nothing or dedicate yourself to experiment like a child, trigger creativity, revitalize us and allow us to be more focused.

In countries such as Sweden, Finland or Denmark, some companies already had gaming and recreation rooms for employees before the pandemic precisely because of all the benefits that these activities bring, both individually and collectively.

The reason is very simple: when we play, we are leaving aside the position of keeping everything under control, nothing is predictable. We stop downplaying the importance of wanting to look good, to be right.

Yes, as incredible as it may seem, looking foolish and allowing ourselves to fail, we are opening ourselves to a scenario where anything can happen, whatever happens, everything will be fine … That feeling of freedom is wonderful, and we should experience it more often in our lives. lives.

Let’s dedicate more space in our lives to what we are passionate about, no matter how “silly” it may seem. Let us have the courage to live being faithful to ourselves, and not under the precepts of what the world expects of us.

There is the key to revitalize yourself, to be happier and live a lighter life, which will increase your energy levels, the one that we waste so much in times when responsibilities overwhelm us.

After all, many people may judge your success by the amount of money you made in your life, your personal achievements, or your status. But if at the end of your life you didn’t have much time for adventure, if you didn’t pursue your passions… If all that cost you years of smiles, then did you succeed?
