Ontario reported 661 new COVID-19 cases and six more virus-related deaths on Saturday.
Health Minister Christine Elliott says 388 of the latest people to become infected are either not fully vaccinated or have unknown vaccination status.
She says 273 cases, just over 41%, involve people who are fully vaccinated.
There are 131 intensive care patients with COVID-related critical illness, including 118 who are not fully immunized or have unknown vaccination status.
The province says that 85% of residents 12 and older have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and 88% have at least one shot.
The numbers come after the latest pandemic projections from Ontario’s COVID-19 Scientific Advisory Table, which indicate that intensive care occupancy is likely to increase in the province in the coming months, along with steady growth in cases.
