One person was killed in a collision between a car and a semi in northern Alberta.
At about 4:30 pm on Monday, Grande Prairie RCMP responded to a report of a collision on Highway 43 at Highway 670 near the town of Bezanson, about 425 kilometers northwest of Edmonton.
Police said a car traveling eastbound on Highway 43 collided with a semi. The lone occupant of the car, a 25-year-old man from Surrey, BC, died at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
