The governor of Nuevo León, Samuel García detailed the Mobility Plan of his administration that contemplates an investment of 98,000 million pesos (2022-2027), in works on lines 4, 5 and 6 of the subway, the acquisition of 1,600 urban trucks, suburban train, highways and the peripheral to speed up the passage to the customs that will be in the Colombia Bridge.
The first fleet of 30 trucks was launched by the governor this Sunday, May 22.
“We are going to do in six years what has not been done in 30 years, a plan so that there are alternatives, not everything is the car, and it will be inclusive (…) We will make the largest investment in history, 98,000 million pesos, which that is done without crests”, assured the president at a press conference, accompanied by Hernán Villarreal Rodríguez, Secretary of Mobility and Urban Planning.
Currently the Monterey metropolitan area it has three subway lines and an extension of 40 kilometers; With the construction of lines 4, 5 and 6, 113 kilometers of transport will be available; This project is already being tendered, said the governor.
In addition, the transmetro will be enabled so that public transport reaches General Zuazua, Ciénega de Flores and El Carmen. Garcia will have two trunks.
The Suburban train It will start in Santa Catarina and will end its journey in Apodaca. President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has already granted the concession and authorized 3,000 million pesos that are in the investment portfolio. The state government is seeking to accredit a zero coupon, which is “stuck from the Alex”, with that they would have 6,000 million for the public contribution.
The other 6,000 million pesos for this project will be sought through a Public Private Association (APP).
The president highlighted that another 6,000 million pesos will be invested for a fleet of ecological buses: there are 1,490 natural gas-based trucks and 110 electric ones, a total of 1,600 units. The gas trucks will be ready this year and the electric ones until 2023.

In addition, a metropolitan coordination will be formed. Next Thursday, May 26, García Sepúlveda will meet with 15 mayors of municipalities that are going to be integrated as a metropolis, where they will address the issues of water, security and the modernization of the Comprehensive Metropolitan Transit System (Sintram).
