‘Notable’ Lethbridge Family Services Donation to Help Reduce Counseling Waits – Lethbridge | The Canadian News

Kim and Trina Tymko made their second donation to Lethbridge Family Services’ counseling department on Friday, hoping to help others gain access to mental health support and raise awareness around greater need.

The family’s first donation was privately offered in December 2019. They did not disclose the monetary amount for any donation.

“Our family, many of us, suffer from mental health issues,” Trina explained. “But we also have the resources for counseling and good access.”

The Tymkos hope their support will encourage others to take action, helping to destigmatize mental health.

“To talk about it, knowing that the people are in need, in great need,” she said.

“Having that waiting list is not okay.”
