Nominations open for 2021 Sustainable Kingston Awards

(Kingston, ON) Sustainable Kingston will once again recognize those in our community who have improved Kingston’s livability and resilience through the 2021 Sustainable Kingston Awards.

Kingston residents are encouraged to visit www.sustainablekingston.com/nominations to nominate a deserving person or organization for the following awards:

Champion of youth sustainability. A person 25 years of age or younger (as of December 31, 2020) who has had an impact on sustainability from 2020 to the present.

Sustainability Champion: A person over the age of 25 who has had an impact on sustainability from 2020 to the present.

Innovation Award: a company or organization that has implemented innovative initiatives to reduce its own carbon footprint or contribute to a culture of sustainability in its community.

Other awards include Best Overall Greenhouse Gas Reduction Award and the Award for the highest percentage of GHG reduction. Organizations that belong to the sustainable green program are eligible for these awards.
