Nokia updates its Guadalajara labs to test new use cases with 5G technology

Nokia announced that it has expanded its 5G test lab located in Guadalajara, enabling it to test new use cases, new 5G products and to support the growing sales and supply operations in the region.

The laboratory of Nokia in Guadalajara started operations in 2017 and currently runs Nokia equipment tests, such as radio frequency tests (3G, 4G and 5G), notification of product changes, thermal cameras, mechanical analysis, FAI, digital data, power supply and realistic performance monitoring, among others.

The lab has received significant investment over the past five years and works in concert with Nokia’s product design facilities located in Dallas, Texas and Naperville, Illinois, Nokia said in a statement.

“After excellent results in four years of operation, we have decided to increase our investment in Guadalajara. The laboratory is located in an ideal geographic point to provide services to both Latin America and North America (…) Our next deployments 5G in Mexico and Latin America will be supported by our regional operations and for the free trade agreement between the United States, Mexico and Canada ”, said Raúl Romero, director of Nokia Mexico.
