Drivers in parts of British Columbia’s southern coast are being warned of potentially dangerous conditions on Saturday, Environment Canada said in a fog advisory.
The national weather and climate agency said a “mild, humid air mass” is expected to arrive on Saturday night, and areas of dense fog are forecast to spread overnight.

The advisory covers Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, Greater Victoria and the Malahat Highway from Goldstream to Mill Bay.
“Visibility can be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero,” Environment Canada said. “Travel is expected to be dangerous due to reduced visibility in some places. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.”
The fog is forecast to begin to dissipate on Sunday morning.
