NB RCMP Recovers Body in Submerged Vehicle Ejected From Ferry – New Brunswick | The Canadian News

The New Brunswick RCMP Underwater Recovery Team has recovered a body from a submerged vehicle, after searching for a car that left the Gondola Point ferry around 9 p.m. Saturday.

Sergeant. Jeff Johnston said the fire department responded and immediately put a boat in the water. He said the underwater recovery team joined the search Sunday morning.

The ferry, which links Quispamsis, NB, to the Kingston Peninsula, was not operational at the time of the incident.

The process to identify the person is underway and the investigation is ongoing.
