Most real estate sector, one of the furthest behind in technology in LA: Ruben Frattini

Although technology currently prevails in people’s daily lives, there is still a lack of greater adoption of it in certain industries, especially in real estate, which makes it the most lagging behind in terms of technology in Latin America (LA) , according to Rubern Frattini, partner at Orange Investments and founder of PIRELabs, a business accelerator within this segment.

During his participation in INMOtech 2021, Frattini indicated that as technology progresses, the real estate segment will be known as proptech, which is the way to use technological tools in this industry.

“Proptech is the way to use technology to address, face, look at the new challenges for the real estate sector and if there is an absolutely backward industry, along with agriculture, in this world it is the real estate industry,” said Frattini.

According to the proptech specialist, the opportunity for the real estate agent to use technology to support their work is immense, as it must become the best marketing channel for a property.

“The most relegated part of the industry that is the real estate agent … In Latin America, according to the CILA Real Estate Confederation, there are 175,000 real estate agents distributed in 18 groups throughout the region, not counting Brazil,” said Frattini.

The PIRELabs representative pointed out that the form of contact of a real estate agent with a potential client has changed, since now they have to use digital channels to make contact with him, in addition to offering him a pleasant experience.

“The window that we see in the real estate agents market is very strong in all processes. Today 95% of the user’s time is spent on the web and there is no alternative but to go find it on the web and go to Searching for it on the net must create an experience that makes your visit pleasant, “said Frattini.

The specialist estimated that in the coming years, technology in the real estate segment will detonate the industry, so the agent must live up to this paradigm shift.
