More and more is being spent on public security in Mexico

The budget exercised by the public security institutions in 2020 it exceeded double digits that exercised during 2019, reaching just over 96,357 million pesos.

Only two entities, the Mexico City and the Mexico state, they exercised 4 out of 10 pesos (40.7%) of the total of these resources; in absolute terms these entities exercised a budget of 25,218 million pesos and 14,053 million pesos respectively. Other entities that presented significant spending on public security were New Lion, Veracruz, Michoacan and Jalisco.

In contrast, the entities that spent the least on security were Colima and Chiapas with only 66 and 243 million pesos allocated respectively.
