A major fire in the woods of the golf course located in the east of Montreal causes the closure of Sherbrooke Street on Sunday.
According to information from the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), the fire broke out around 11:20 a.m. and did not reach any buildings.
“The SPVM is on site to ensure traffic and control the crowd,” said SPVM spokesperson Jean-Pierre Brabant.
There has been no evacuation and no one has been injured so far, he also said.
Sherbrooke Street has been closed in both directions from 81st Avenue as a safety measure.
