Missionaries kidnapped in Haiti, including a Canadian, have been released

All the missionaries and children who had been kidnapped in Haiti in October, including a Canadian, have now been released.

The abductees include 12 American and Canadian missionaries and five children. The missionaries belong to the Christian Aid Ministries (CAM) group, which announced Thursday that the entire group was free.

“Please join us in praising God that all seventeen of our loved ones are now safe,” states a statement posted on the group’s website.

Five of the hostages had been released previously.

Haitian police confirmed to The Associated Press that the hostages were released and a representative for CAM in Canada told the Star that the organization had been notified.
