Mexico registers 19,857 new cases of Covid-19 and 470 deaths

The Health Secretary (Ssa) updated this Friday to 5 million 5,407,711 the number of cases of Covid-19 that have been confirmed in Mexico so far in the pandemic. The official number of deaths rose to 315,525, according to the daily technical report.

Compared to yesterday’s data, the new records mean that as of today’s cutoff, 19,857 new cases and 470 new deaths were confirmed.

There are 74,230 active cases in the country (with the first symptoms in the most recent 14 days and they are still contagious). The incidence rate is 57 per 100,000 inhabitants and there will be up to 82,190 active cases, according to the report.

The entities with the highest incidence rates are Colima, Baja California Sur, Mexico City (which leads the accumulated cases), Tlaxcala, Nayarit, Aguascalientes, Querétaro, Campeche, Puebla and Hidalgo, in that order.
