The Ministry of Health (SSa) reported the appearance of 17,432 new cases of Covid-19 in the country and also registered another 42 deaths in the last 24 hours due to the virus.
The agency estimated that to this day there are 102,737 active cases in the country for having started their symptoms in the last 14 days.
So far in the coronavirus pandemic and during the fifth wave of infections, Mexico accumulates a total of 5,940,518 coronavirus infections nationwide and 325,553 deaths from Covid-19.
The states with the highest accumulation of Covid-19 cases at the national level are Mexico City, State of Mexico, Nuevo León, Guanajuato, Jalisco, San Luis Potosí, Tabasco, Veracruz, Puebla and Sonora, in that order and which represent the 64% of the total accumulated cases in the country.
