Mexico becomes a key point for the transformation of Ford’s business model

Ford of Mexico was placed as one of the three Global Technology and Business Centers most important of this automotive worldwide, which will promote the technological transformation of the company.

The global transformation and modernization of our business model will be led from Centers located in India, Hungary (with a satellite office in Romania) and Mexico, specified the automotive American.

“Globally, Ford continues to transform itself to accelerate the development and production of electric, connected and innovative vehicles, but also to position itself as a technology solutions company with a much broader business vision,” said Luz Elena del Castillo, president and CEO of Ford of Mexico.

To achieve this, he said, we must strengthen the operational performance of each of the regions where we have a presence and make the most of the capabilities of all the teams.

The Global Technology and Business Center of Ford of Mexico will carry out activities for the company at a global level, in areas such as Product Development, Purchasing, Engineering, Information Technology, Finance, Human Resources and After Sales.

In recent months, this organization has managed to reduce costs of almost 14 million dollars, generating more than 30 automation projects that are estimated to bring benefits of more than 40 million dollars in the coming years.

Part of the tasks they implement is the transformation of the business by optimizing the work of the different teams through the redesign, simplification and automation of processes with an “end-to-end” vision to improve the experience of customers and collaborators around the world.

“Ford de México has managed to position itself as one of the most important regions for the firm’s operations at a global level and, with this new Global Technology and Business Center, we will become a fundamental arm for the business, while highlighting the great talent that there is in our country”, added Laura Castro, director of the Technology and Business Center of Ford of Mexico.
