Mexican consumer confidence threaded three months of improvement in April


The consumers in Mexico They again presented an improvement in their confidence in April, a month in which the Easter holiday period fell this year.

The National Institute of Statistic and Geography (Inegi) disclosed that in the fourth month of the year, the Consumer Confidence Indicator (ICC) stood at 44.3 points, with seasonally adjusted figures.

This represented the third consecutive month of growth of said indicator, increasing 0.4 points compared to the previous month. In its annual comparison, the ICC showed an improvement of 1.8 points.

In the Inegi report, which it prepares jointly with the Bank of Mexico (Banxico), it was observed that there was a mixed behavior of the ICC components in the monthly detail.

The expected economic situation of the country was the component that showed the greatest monthly increase, with 1.5 points, followed by the current economic situation of Mexico, with an advance of 0.6 points.

In the case of the possibilities of purchasing household appliances, the advance that occurred in the month was 0.3 points.

In contrast, the perceptions of mexican homes on its own economy showed a deterioration in April.

The current economic situation of household members fell 0.3 points, while the expected future situation fell 0.2 points.
