Putting order in a country is very difficult. I don’t even know why we even tried. He has spent years, centuries, and at the end of that time there is nothing ordered. It is depressing and at the same time encouraging, because if one day, at last, things were in their place, it would mean that everything is over, ‘bye’, as when you put the last piece of a puzzle and you believe that perfection shines. What do you do when it’s complete if not put it in a box and forget about it and one day throw it away. In reality, it is extremely difficult to put order on anything, and even more difficult to make it last. I don’t see what leads us to think that tidying up a country is easier than organizing a house, a cupboard, a sink, a drawer. Almost everything tends to the wrong place. Order is an endless dream, and no more necessary than chaos. At the end of the day, to tidy up you first have to mess up, because otherwise you wouldn’t need to tidy up.
