Masters Live Golf Scores, Results, Friday Round 2 Leaderboard Highlights

Round 1 of the Masters Tournament provided many fascinating stories for golf fans to follow in Round 2.

The first of these is Tiger Woods, who despite playing his first competitive round since his car accident in February 2021 shot a par 71 under par on Thursday, putting him tied for 10th among the field. Woods made some unusual mistakes on several par-5 holes Thursday and will be looking to recapture several shots from lessons learned.

That said, there has been no clear separation of the leaders after Round 1 on Thursday; in fact, Tiger is just four strokes behind Sungjae Im, who leads the field with a five-under 67 heading into his second round. Cameron Smith (4-under 68) is in sole command of second place, while several golfers arrive at 3-under and 2-under.

The question now is how golfers will react to the playing surface at Augusta National after a day of play; the greens are notoriously fast and will only get faster as the competition goes on.

Masters Live Updates, Friday Round 2 Highlights

All Eastern times.

12:28: Corey Conners is within two shots of Im with this birdie.

12:20: An unfortunate break for Louis Oosthuizen.

11:46: A pretty good pair, as far as pairs go.

11:21: Meanwhile, Koepka gets a tap-in birdie after a nice chip shot on the 2nd hole. That puts him within the projected cut-off line, for now.

11:20: Dustin Johnson gets his first birdie of the day on the fourth (which is also the hole’s first birdie of the day). That brings him to a hit from Im for the lead.

11:02: Brooks Koepka starts his day with a par on Hole 1; he will have to do much better than yesterday, as he is in danger of missing the 3 over 75 cut. The projected cut line is 2 over 74.

10:32: And now Im hits back on the 3rd hole to retake sole possession of the first hole with 5-under-par 67.

10:01: Im starts his day with a bogey on the par-3 1st hole, tying him with Cameron Smith at 4-under for the tournament.

9:39 a.m.: Sungjae I’m playing.

8:14 a.m.: It’s obvious, but it has to be said: Augusta National is beautiful.
