Maple Leafs Adds Four More Players to COVID Protocols

The Toronto Maple Leafs now have up to 11 players and various members of the training and support staff on the NHL’s COVID protocol list after adding four more players Tuesday at noon.

The Leafs announced that they have added forwards David Kämpf, Ilya Mikheyev, defender Rasmus Sandin and goalkeeper Petr Mrázek to the roster.

Mrázek Joins fellow goalkeeper Jack Campbell on the roster; The Leafs on Tuesday also added goalkeeping coach Steve Briere to the roster, as well as another member of the team’s medical staff.

The Leafs have a total of 11 players, three coaches and three staff members on the roster.

Coach Sheldon Keefe was included on the list last week during the team’s swing in western Canada. Several other players were also added to the roster, including John Tavares, Alex Kerfoot, Wayne Simmonds, Campbell, TJ Brodie, Jason Spezza, and Travis Dermott.

The Leafs have closed their operations until December 26, when they are scheduled to return to the ice for a practice. The team’s road game in Columbus on December 27 is still scheduled.

Petr Mrazek is among the latest Toronto Maple Leafs to enter COVID protocols.
