Toronto police are searching for a man who officers say is wanted after a woman was assaulted and strangled over the weekend.
Police said officers were called to the Queens Quay West and Rees Street area shortly after 12:30 a.m. Saturday.
Officers said a group of people were in a vehicle when a 26-year-old man and woman argued.
The man allegedly assaulted and strangled the woman before fleeing the scene.

On Monday, police announced that Elison Teliska, a 27-year-old Toronto resident, is wanted on two counts of assault, aggravated battery and assault: suffocation.
He is described as five foot nine, 141 pounds with a slim build, brown eyes, and dark hair.
Police said he is “considered violent and dangerous” and anyone who sees him is advised not to come near and call 911.
