Hamilton police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man, kidnapped from his home near Mount Hope, after two others were shot Thursday morning in a home invasion.
Police were called to the Glancaster Road and Dickenson Road area in Mount Hope at 2:55 a.m. to receive reports of a shooting.
At the scene, officers found two men in their 20s with gunshot wounds. Both were rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Since then, a man has died from his injuries, police said. A third man was forcibly removed from the home in a dark van and remains missing.
Police say the abductee is 63-year-old Faqir Ali. He is described as five foot seven and 180 pounds, with a medium complexion and thinning black hair. He was wearing black and white checkered pajama bottoms and no shirt when they took him out of his house.
Investigators believe this was a managed incident.
There will be a large police presence in the area on Thursday and police are asking the public to stay away.
