Man injured in Repentigny shooting

REPENTIGNY – A 34-year-old man was shot Sunday afternoon in Repentigny, but is expected to survive.

He was taken to a hospital in Montreal for treatment for three shots, Repentigny police said, adding that he was not cooperating with investigators.

“We have a good idea what may have happened, but for now the investigation is ongoing,” said spokesman Bruno Marier. He did not provide details to protect the integrity of the investigation.

Police were alerted at 5:17 pm to gunshots heard in Matapédia St.

No suspect has been arrested.
