Man Injured in Friday Night Shooting at Hamilton Mountain – Hamilton | The Canadian News

Police are searching for two suspects, following what they believe is a “targeted” shooting at Hamilton Mountain.

Investigators say they were called to the Upper Wentworth Street and Emperor Avenue area around 9:30 p.m. Friday, and they located a man who had suffered a single gunshot wound to the leg.

A citizen had called 911 to report the possible sound of gunshots.

Paramedics responded and treated the 22-year-old victim at the scene before he was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Hamilton police say two men believed to be involved in the shooting fled the area in a silver car of an unknown make or model and were last seen driving west on Emperor Avenue.

The suspects are said to be in their early 20s.
