A pedestrian was hit and injured as a result of a motor vehicle collision in Halifax, NS, on Friday night.
In a statement, Halifax Regional Police said a man was struck in the 0-100 block of Sylvia Avenue and later taken to the hospital.

“The injuries are considered serious and life-threatening at this time,” police said.
This incident is the second vehicle-pedestrian collision to occur in a week.
Police said the road will be blocked for a period of time, but there are local detours.
