A man in his early 30s is dead after he was struck and killed by a vehicle in Mississauga on Tuesday morning.
Officers were called to Mavis Road and Bancroft Drive, just south of Highway 401, shortly after midnight.
Police say the victim was attempting to cut across the street near the intersection when he was struck by a car.
He was taking to a trauma center where he was pronounced dead.
Police say the driver remained on scene.
There were road closures in the area for the investigation but they have since reopened.
