York Regional Police say a 57-year-old man has been charged in connection with the theft of goods worth about $ 100,000.
In a media statement issued Tuesday, police said officers responded to six commercial interruptions and entered clothing stores in York region and Toronto in December where “high-end clothing and accessories” were stolen.
Police said the items included purses and sunglasses.

Last Friday, one suspect was arrested, the statement said.
Visual warrants were carried out on the suspect’s residence, his vehicle and a storage cupboard.
“A number of stolen items were recovered, including clothing and fashion accessories, worth about $ 100,000,” police said.
“Officers were also able to break the accused into several other breaks and entry into Vaughan and the city of Toronto.”

Toronto resident Drazen Ivankovik is facing seven charges of committing burglary, possession of break-and-import tools, four counts of intentional disguise, and two counts of violating a probation order.
Police said another search warrant was issued at a home in Bergamont Avenue in Toronto, which is believed to be the residence of two other suspects allegedly involved.
However, officers could not locate them and encouraged them to surrender.
Police said their investigation is continuing.
