Madrid establishes a new procedure for positive antigens: communicate it by phone and isolate yourself for ten days

The Ministry of Health of the Community of Madrid has established a new procedure for population that a self-diagnostic test is performed and you get a positive result on covid-19, by virtue of which the result should be alerted to the free telephone number 900 102 112 and stay in isolation for 10 days.

The Ministry of Health will consider this result truly positive and, in addition, rrecommends that visits be avoided and that the usual preventive measures be taken, as reported by the regional government in a statement.

In case of have a fever over 38 degrees y/o respiratory distress, it will have to contact the health center, where you may be instructed to perform a diagnostic test for active infection (PDIA) to confirm the diagnosis. In case of urgency, it should contact 112.

Recommendations for close contacts

For the close contacts of people who obtain a positive result with the self-diagnostic tests, in the case of being vaccinated with the complete regimen, in addition to extreme prevention measures, they must reduce departures to essentials and it is recommended, if feasible, teleworking for 7-10 days after exposure.

If you go to work, you must save preventive measures with continuous and correct use of the mask, preferably surgical and regardless of distance, and avoid meetings for breakfast and lunch.

In addition, it is advised limit social interactions to the essentials and avoid going to crowded places and mass events.
