MacBook Air redesigned to go into mass production in Q3 2022: Kuo

Apple reportedly plans to begin mass production of its redesigned MacBook Air in the third quarter of 2022.

According to a new research note from TF International Securities’ Ming-Chi Kuo, seen by MacRumors, a redesigned MacBook Air will hit mass production status in the third quarter of next year. Kuo has also stated in the past that he believes the new device will feature a mini-LED display and other updates.

Many of Apple’s devices are entering their redesign phase, like the anticipated MacBook Pro redesigns, which are expected later this year. It seems that the MacBook Air is not lagging behind. Kuo believes that the new model will feature a powerful processor from Apple. In the past, Kuo has set the device’s launch date for mid-2022. However, the timeline appears to have changed as mass production is expected late in the second quarter or early in the third quarter of next year.

We are likely a long way from seeing a new MacBook Air officially revealed by Apple. The company is expected to announce a redesigned 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro. later this year.
