LP gas price ends six-week hike streak

 

The maximum average price of liquefied petroleum gas (LP) in Mexico will drop 42 cents to 26.3 pesos per kilogram in the week of October 24-30, breaking a six-week streak of increases, according to the registry. of prices published last Saturday by the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE).

The price of LP gas will complete 13 weeks this week under the regime of regulation of maximum levels, and in that period, only in three weeks has it experienced reductions compared to the previous week.

The municipalities of Cañitas de Felipe Pescador, General Francisco R. Murguía, Río Grande, Sain Alto and Villa de Cos, in the state of Zacatecas, are the municipalities where LP gas is sold more expensively in the country, with an average of 30.13 pesos per kilogram of the oil.

Tijuana and Playas de Rosarito, in Baja California, are, on the contrary, the towns with the lowest price in the Republic, since fuel will be sold at 22.75 pesos per kilogram.

Meanwhile, in Mexico City and a good part of the municipalities of the metropolitan area, the maximum official price will be 25.03 pesos per kilogram, an amount that implies a reduction of 22 cents in relation to the week that ended. In the September average, the price of propane in the Mont Belvieu Texas market reached $ 1.29 per gallon, its highest record since February 2014 ($ 1.44 per gallon).
