López-Gatell abandons meeting with deputies because the PRD bench failed to comply with the appearance format

The Undersecretary of Prevention and Health Promotion, Hugo Lopez-Gatell, left this afternoon the meeting he was holding with deputies of the Political Coordination Board (Jucopo) of the Chamber of Deputies, by accusing that the meeting was being recorded by deputies, when the agreement was that the meeting would be private.

In counter response, Luis Cházaro, coordinator of the PRD, said that a series of disagreements arose due to the criticism made to the official for handling the pandemic. It was for this reason that the Morena fraction and its allies suspended the meeting.

“Without any questions that were raised for this meeting, without answers or an acknowledgment of the error by which the pandemic has been handled,” said Luis Cházaro.

The PRD Luis Cházaro added that it was in his speech when he was interrupted by Hugo López-Gatell, who accused the PRD vice-coordinator, Elizabeth perez valdez, to record the meeting.

For his part, Jorge Álvarez Máynez, leader of the Citizen Movement in San Lázaro, described through social networks that the “appearance” was suspended just half an hour after it began.

“A full-length postcard of his pride and arrogance. The Citizen Movement and PAN have condemned the aggression ”, he stressed.

While Rubén Moreira, PRI coordinator, confirmed that the decision was made to suspend the exercise with López Gatell, but did not give a date on whether it would be scheduled again.

“There were setbacks, let’s say, in the format we had. For the sake of future dialogue, there I leave the comment. This does not mean that we will not continue to receive officials, “he declared.

Ignacio Mier Velazco, Morena coordinator, explained that the decision was made to suspend the meeting, but that it would be resumed later.

“It is going to resume. We had agreed on a format and the collegiate decision corresponding to the Board was made to suspend the meeting, close it as far as we have gone, and resume it through the commissions or through the Political Coordination Board itself … Board to reconsider and call a new meeting, “he said.
