Health officials in London, Ont., And Middlesex County have issued another cold weather warning as icy temperatures and strong wind chills make their way back to the region.

The Middlesex-London Health Unit says the warning will take effect on Tuesday night, with Environment Canada demanding an overnight low of -17 C, coupled with wind chill values ​​reaching -24.

The warning is expected to be lifted on Wednesday afternoon, which is expected to see a high of -10 C with wind chill values ​​dropping to -13. This is the MLHU’s third cold weather warning so far this year.

Residents, meanwhile, are advised to limit their time spent outside and dress for the weather when they are outside, which includes covering any exposed skin.

People are also asked to pay attention to symptoms of cold-related illnesses and injuries, such as freezing and hypothermia.

The London Public Library’s central branch in Dundas Street will be available as a warm-up space on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 09:00 and 21:00.
