Logitech finally let go of the MX keys number pad

Logitech has released a new keyboard aimed at people who enjoy using chiclet-style keys and appreciate a minimalist keyboard setup.

The keyboard, called MX Keys Mini, is just a smaller version of its popular MX Keys keyboard. Both the legacy keyboard and the newer / smaller option are great for people who want a keyboard that matches their Apple products or emulates the feel of an Apple Magic Keyboard on Windows.

The keyboard also includes backlit keys and the ability to quickly switch between up to three devices.

For years, I used MX Keys on my main Windows PC at home and loved it. However, he often wished Logitech would have made it without the dumb Numeric keyboard. I found the dimples on every key and the simple low-travel design appealing as someone who also used a MacBook full-time.

However, my opinion soured a bit after a few years. Dirt got stuck behind the left arrow key, and when I removed it to clean it, I never put it back in. When I contacted Logitech about it, they offered me a 30 percent discount coupon for a new keyboard and it doesn’t even try to help me fix my broken one.

At the end of the day, I really enjoyed using the MX keys and would recommend them to most people who want a great chiclet keyboard for Windows. Just keep in mind that it may not last forever. If you have a Mac, you are probably better off with Apple’s own keyboards.

Logitech MX Keys Mini is available on the website for $ 129.99.
