The company has spent the last week delivering 144 meals to Sturgeon Community Hospital, 88 meals per Mercy Community Hospital and 140 meals per Community Hospital of the Gray Nuns.

With meals scheduled for next week, Bridges is reaching nearly 600 meals ordered and delivered.

Bridges delivered the meals at Gray Nuns Hospital on Friday morning, where ICU nurse Rob Kroetsch met with the company outside to personally thank them and the community.

“Yesterday they told us this was going to happen and they were going to send us these packages and just the look in people’s eyes,” Kroetsch said.

“That’s obviously all you can see right now, it’s people’s eyes, but you can judge by the emotion that was shown on everyone’s faces. Everyone was excited. “

These last few months have been difficult, but the community always seems to come together, leading to a cycle of appreciation.

“I want to thank everyone and the community for doing what they are doing and it is a difficult road,” Kroetsch said. “But we are all in this together.”
