Liveblog: Habs return to action against Bruins

The Canadiens play their first game since New Year’s Day against the Florida Panthers.

The Montreal Canadiens will end a 10-day layoff and resume their season on Wednesday night at Boston’s TD Garden against the Bruins. Puck drop at 7pm (SN, RDS, TSN 690 Radio, 98.5 FM) .

The game was originally scheduled to be played at the Bell Center, but was moved to the home track in Boston. Several Habs are expected to return from the COVID protocol and other ailments: Mike Hoffman, Jeff Petry, Artturi Lehkonen, Laurent Dauphin, Ben Chiarot and Chris Wideman, along with netminder Jake Allen. Josh Anderson and Tyler Toffoli have returned to skating in contactless shirts.

Earlier today, the Habs made a minor move, claiming Minnesota forward Rem Pitlick off the waiver wire.
