Caufield was pulled from the AHL Laval Rocket earlier in the day, with Alex Belzile returning to the farm club. Caufield had five points in six games for Laval. Norlinder was injured in the preseason. He played three games at Laval as part of a rehab stint, and will have a brief audition with the Habs before the team decides whether to stay in Montreal or return to their Swedish club Frolunda HC.

Goalie Cayden Primeau will make his second straight start, off Tristan Jarry for Pittsburgh. The Pens don’t have star center Evgeni Malkin, who is recovering from knee surgery.

Earlier this week, there were reports that the penguins will be sold to Fenway Sports Group, owners of the Boston Red Sox and Liverpool FC.
