Les Francos de Montreal are canceling StudioFest at the last minute, supposed to be held Wednesday evening. This “pre-opening” concert of the festival must be postponed until next week.

Radio-Canada and the Francos, the organizations responsible for the event, refuse to comment on this cancellation. “We are obliged to cancel the StudioFest which was to take place this evening at the symphonic parterre, in pre-opening of the Francos de Montréal, due to an event beyond our control”, means laconically a door- speech in a written communication.

The cultural columnist of Radio-Canada, Catherine Richer, specified on the air that the weather did not play a role in this “unforeseen” cancellation.

The concert was to bring together nearly ten artists. Radio-Canada mentions that this musical event is postponed to September 16.
