A man is said to have killed his wife with three bullets in the head before taking his own life by turning the weapon against himself, in Lebel-sur-Quévillon, in the Nord-du-Québec region. Both bodies were discovered Thursday morning.
Around 9 a.m., the Sûreté du Québec police arrived at the couple’s residence, located on Place Rivest, because a loved one was worried about not having heard from the woman who lives there.
While walking around the house, one of the police officers would have seen the resident of the premises lying in a pool of blood. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. She had just celebrated her 68th birthday on Wednesday.
According to our information, she had been hit by three bullets in the head.
Still according to our sources, her 76-year-old spouse was also found dead in an adjacent room. He allegedly took his own life using the same firearm that was used in the murder.
The investigation aimed at clarifying the circumstances of this murder followed by a suicide was entrusted to the investigators of crimes against the person of the Sûreté du Québec.
