Protesters clashed with Lebanese soldiers in Beirut on Thursday after Prime Minister Saad Hariri resigned. The latter had proposed in a final effort a cabinet of 24 members to President Michel Aoun.

These protests risk plunging Lebanon further into chaos and uncertainty, amid an unprecedented economic crisis.
