Laval woman given $2,476 fine for driving 238 km/h on highway in Boisbriand

A 26-year-old woman from Laval was caught speeding heading southbound on Highway 15 in Boisbriand Saturday morning, the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) reported in a press release. The driver was clocked at 238 km/h in a 100km/h zone.

The woman was fined $2,476 and docked 30 demerit points, plus a $173 fine for not turning on her headlights. Her driver’s license for her has been suspended seven days for excessive speeding.

Speeding is one of the leading causes of fatal collisions on Quebec roads, the SQ noted in their press release.
